When underwater engineering projects demand the characteristics of oil-filled cable assemblies, SEAMAX connectors are the answer. SEAMAX oil-filled cable sys- tems provide the greatest possible reliability Our oil-filled systems are also designed to permit easy assembly and repair of cables on site. SEAMAX connectors for oil-filled cables are built using the same proven techniques used in our ER and E6 series of connectors. Connector bodies are sup- plied with backshells machined from stain- less steel or anodized aluminum. Back- shells mate with standard sizes of oil-fill tubing for the construction of pressure compensated, oil-filled cable assemblies.

Pictured here is an in-line plug and an in-line receptacle designed to be used with oil-filled pressure balanced cables. Oil-filled metal backshells are secured to connector bodies by set screws. Rubber 0-rings provide the seals between the connector bodies and the backshells. Connectors shown here are an ERPB 3401-16P and an ERPB 3406-16S in stainless steel.
